Who says six feet has to separate us?
      Group Projects
Just a little group activity during the time of Covid-19...Ok, so this is a forum and a forum is supposed to be interactive, right? Well, as a little exercise, (hopefully not a futile one) I have started writing the ABC’s of how we might respond to the coronavirus and I thought it might be fun if you added your own ideas for the rest of them. They can be funny or serious or whatever. No, I haven’t gone off the deep end here. I am perfectly aware that I’m operating this webpage/forum in a relative void. But who knows? Maybe some day, someone will visit and leave something behind. Adapt -Americans have a history of being an adaptable lot. So now that normal has taken a hike, we can recreate normal. Perhaps even improve on it if we’re lucky. Breathe -Take a beat, as theatre folks say. Breathe in the now and hold it dear because you don’t know what tomorrow will bring. Celebrate -Find something to be glad about, something to elevate and then share it with someone. One thing I’ve noticed more is wildlife. I look out the window and whether it’s a common sparrow or a merganser on the lake, there is more time to enjoy the company of the other beings sharing the planet with us. Demonstrate- Take on the role of someone who can think clearly, sort out fact from fiction, infuse joy when there is little to be found. Be that guy. Execute -Got an idea how you might make a difference? However big or small, turn it into a reality, or at least try. Investigate what it would to take to make it happen then do it! Ok now you take it from there!

      About Muses...
      Writer's Field Guide
I thought the subject of muses would make a great first topic. Believe me, I know how old fashioned that sounds, but in a world of an infinite number of rabbit holes, political polarization, and environmental decline, I think focusing on what inspires is a worthwhile endeavor. Unfortunately my own muse shows up most often when I'm driving. She appears next to me when I am least likely to record any of her offerings and somehow I think she knows this. If I pull over, she laughs, hops out and disappears. If I could re-create the conditions under which she graces me with a visit, perhaps I could benefit a bit more and not cross the centerline. What or who inspires you? When does your muse visit? How do you entice your muse to linger for a while?
